The team at the Old Millhouse are happy to support the Forth Hedgehog Hospital.
Forth Hedgehog Hospital has been working with hedgehogs for 12 years. As a charity, they take in sick, injured and orphaned wild hedgehogs found by the general public. Forth Hedgehog Hospital runs entirely on donations so every penny counts. We were delighted to donate £75 towards a new ICU box for young hedgehogs which are now classed as vulnerable to extinction.
If you would like to donate, you can visit their website here.
The hedgehog is known as ‘the gardener’s friend’ as it will eat slugs, beetles and caterpillars and does no harm, so if you have a garden a hedgehog is to be encouraged. They should not be kept in captivity, but regarded as welcome visitors.
