How to have the best New Year ever

Hello, it’s me, the Old Millhouse again.  Today, I’m going to talk about the New Year and why you should spend it with me.

Edinburgh FestivalsThat said, I’m supposed to be relaxing and looking my best for all our guests as we’re virtually booked solid this summer and autumn, but Sally, the boss, keeps nagging me to write some more of these blog things that you humans seem to like.  To tell the truth, I quite enjoy doing them: it gives me a break from standing around – and when you’ve been standing around for over two centuries like I have, it’s nice to have something different to do.

One thing Sally and I do know is that our guests plan their holidays well in advance.  And we also know that one of our favourite times of the year is when Christmas is over and we look forward to welcoming a big party for the New Year celebrations.   As you probably know, we are rather good at Hogmanay (as we Scots call it) and there is nothing we like better than a good party and a chance to let our hair down (I let my tiles down) as one year ends and another, full of hope and promise, begins.

If you’re looking for a REALLY opulent, bespoke New Year party, I’d love you to come here to keep me company.  The Old Millhouse (that’s me!), has everything you could possibly want for an unforgettable experience, from luxurious bedrooms (with the best mattresses in the world – by royal appointment!) to relaxing gardens and an outdoor spa (perfect if, for some reason, you are feeling a bit under the weather on the 1st of January). Put simply, you’ll not want for anything, especially if you take advantage of our Concierge service.

Sally tells me that there is a VERY special New Year package available.  Up to 10 guests can get to enjoy my company for five nights for £5,995 – that’s only £595 per person if you have 10 people – which is outstanding value for an entire week!   This is on a self-catering basis, from the 28th December to 2nd January, Not only that, but Sally says she’ll throw in (not literally of course), a Continental Breakfast Hamper prepared and waiting for you in the fridge.  Or if you really want to go for it, we can also provide a chef (at an additional charge) who will create the most amazing meals from the bountiful larder that is Scotland.

I can promise you I’ll take really good care of you (so will Sally, she is amazing, though don’t tell her I said that).  It costs nothing to find out more, which you can do by emailing us at: sally@oldmillhouse.co.uk or call us on 07824 773 060 (she’ll answer, not me as houses can’t speak).
