Arrive from 3pm to a tasty afternoon tea accompanied by a lovely glass of bubbly – the perfect start to your luxurious break at The Old Millhouse. After a tour from our house manager, settle in and explore the house and gardens.
Your dining will be arranged by our fabulous Chef, Nichola Pearce. On the first night Nichola will leave a pre-prepared two-course dinner in the fridge ready for you to heat up at your own convenience.
Wake up in your Hypnos Wool and Cashmere bed to the lulling sounds of the River Esk, ready for a beautifully prepared full Scottish breakfast served by Nichola and her team. Spend the day enjoying our Swim Spa / Hot tub on the terrace or undertake a selection of activities which we can be arranged for you. How about retail therapy at the Restoration Yard, fishing on the river or a tour of the Scottish Borders? To relax, perhaps an in-house massage or manicure, before enjoying the peace and quiet in The Old Millhouse grounds or Orangery.
Enjoy a pre-dinner Aperitivo on the terrace or in our beautiful Orangery, whilst dinner is prepared and served by Nichola. Relax in the evening in one of our cosy lounges or a wee dram by the fire. Wake up and enjoy a morning to a dip in the swim spa, or a warming coffee on the patio before enjoying a scrumptious brunch.
On top of all that, you will find the larder stocked with tasty Scottish goodies, bedrooms adorned with fresh flowers and a gift of hand made Scottish Chocolates. Choose your own wines to bring along. We highly recommend our local wine merchant Tarquin de Burgh, who can help pair wines for your menu choice, these can be delivered and chilled down prior to your arrival.
