Tartan Design Experience

Work with our in-house designer to create your very own tartan. Whether it’s personal, for family, a business or society, or to commemorate a special event the ScotlandShop team offers the chance to create a unique piece of Scottish history.

What’s included?

We’ll discuss all of your ideas, write a brief and talk you through the tartan registration process.

Inspiration can come from a logo, brand colours, an existing event colour scheme or simply a selection of your favourite colours, significant dates or number.

Following the consultation, our in-house designer will gather all of the ideas & inspiration discussed to write a brief, and create a digital mood board incorporating a suggested colour palette for your tartan.

We will use computer-aided design software to create a number of initial designs for you. We send these digitally and you can narrow down your favourite and discuss any amendments you’d like to make.

Having decided on a final design we will arrange for yarn samples to be sent to you in person so you can see exactly how the colours used to weave your tartan will look together.

Your design is registered with the The Scottish Register of Tartans.

Cost

£450 including tartan design consultation, a choice of 3 design options to choose from and registration of the final design with the Scottish Register of Tartans, including an official certificate.

Fabric weaving and garment or interiors products makeup is of course available but charged separately.

Duration: 1 hour

Open to groups or individuals. A wee dram or refreshment is offered.
